Mr Rogers was called in by police for questioning on Friday.

Australian media reported that the five alleged offences - two counts of burglary, two counts of theft and committing an indictable offence while on bail - had taken place before the 9 November attack.

could be - i still see him as a hero, but a rather flawed one.
A very brave man nevertheless.
The guy has a criminal record but it doesn't mean that his actions on the day of the attack were brave.
His past was touched on in an earlier thread - as you say he performed a heroic deed.

he did a good thing, so applause for that, but one can't ignore the fact he has done some bad things, perhaps those he burgled would like their goods or money back now he finds himself with so much dosh.

A very fair point, let him display the same decency which was afforded him.
That will be for the Australian judiciary to sort out.

I don't like his past crimes, but he did do a heroic thing.
