It's Been One Hell Of A Week So Far,

Early hours of Monday morning, 04:00ish, Mrs B had a fall on the stairs. We sleep downstairs, there are two Loos on the ground floor, so don't know why she was on the stairs at all. She has broken a number of ribs, has a large haematoma behind right ear and a small bleed on the brain, at 73 she really needs this. Was taken from here to Ashford, our local Trauma Centre, I went to Ashford 11:00ish and was told she had been transferred to KCH Camberwell, Thanks NHS. Got a train down there, she will be in for a week or so I suspect, is a bit battered. Been down every day, never spent so much time on trains, it's no joke. Tash and Nat are walking the dogs when they get home and are feeding me when I'm awake which is not often at the moment. Will just do what has to be done for the time being, the Boss as I call her comes first.

Is she well enough to interact with you when you are at the hospital?

It doesn't seem very long since she was working. It must be frustrating for all of you.

I hope the doctors can help her back to a better quality of life.

The Girls are both NHS Professionals, they look out for people in their lifestyles, we are very lucky to have them here.

Saw Your post last night Baldric, but waited until this morning to post, as I had taken a couple of glasses of "medicine". Poor Mrs B. She has been through the mill since retiring, when she should be relaxing and enjoying it. The heavy bruising is not pleasant, but the broken ribs can be a real worry. I know that you will all be watching out for any lung fluid building up due to not being able to inhale fully. Pneumonia is then a danger. Weeks of sleeping sitting upright is a probability. Horrible. I would like to join the previous posters in wishing her a speedy recovery and you the strength and capacity to provide the support and concern that you have pledged. Take care of yourself Baldric and please pass on my heartfelt best wishes to the unfortunate Mrs B.

Just got home, kn4ck3r3d, going to eat, have a quick drink, shower then bed, start all over again tomorrow about middayish, visiting starts at 14:00, going to be at least another week of it.
