My Canon MG4250 printer says printer not responding every time I try and print a document, and Printer Error in the Print queue list. I have switched the printer off and on, and done the same with the main computer but it still doesn't print and shows same message Printer not responding.
Any help much appreciated

Is it connected wirelessly, and if so has it successfully connected to the router?
Usually the easiest way is to delete every canon mention from your computer and then reload the latest driver for your printer and OS from the website - check if you are 32/64 bit.
have yu made ityur default printer
is the ink low ??
Also, if your connected by Wi Fi via router, try restarting the router.
Try to update your printer drivers. Sometimes error in print queue occurs due to bad version of printer drivers. Thus go to official Canon website and download new drivers from there. If still the error comes check Canon Pixma MG4250 Manual for help. Media URL: http://guideusermanual.com/product-name-pixma-mg4250-manual&po=157046&lang=English
Description:
You could try the following:
• The computer and access point (or wireless router) have lost connection. Restart the computer and then attempt to print again.
• The printer's signal strength is low due to its distance from the access point (or wireless router). Move the printer closer to the access point (or wireless router).
• The access point (or wireless router) and wireless printer may not be communicating. Power off and back on the access point and printer to restore communication.
• The printer driver is configured to the proper port.
• A firewall on your computer may be blocking ports needed for communication with your printer. Configure your firewall to allow communication with the ports needed for network communication with the printer. Refer to the documentation for your firewall for information on how to configure the firewall.
• The Canon wireless printer will detect nearby access points. If an incorrect access point was inadvertently selected, you will be able to select the correct one. Confirm the network name matches the one selected on the printer and the one on the computer.
• To confirm the network name matches the one selected on the printer and the one on a Windows computer.
• To confirm the network name matches the one selected on the printer and the one on a Macintosh computer.
