I've just discovered that I can no longer reach the tops of shrubs using a ladder. I am looking at telescopic cordless hedge trimmers.

Can anyone recommend a tried and tested one and will the cordless be much heavier than a mains one......I have small hands....
I think there are also petrol driven ones but I'm not keen on that...

Thanks Gx

Ruddy 'eck!

Gness with a power tool?

Surely not?

I thought that she wasn't allowed anything sharp!

This come out top in the reviews on Amazon and, at "just over 3kg", is quite a bit lighter than many other models. The price seems reasonable too:

Recommendations from AB are only classed as 'spam', Spath, if they've clearly come from someone who's only interest in being here is posting spam links for profit.

Recommendations from regular ABers are welcome.

I would go for a corded one, as they are much less unwieldy than the battery models.
You may also want to maintain your shrubs at a lower level, thats what I've done and its so much easier.

Thank you for your answers....I'll look at the one from Amazon, Chris and the one with the backpack, Spath...thank you...x

The shrubs are too high to cut to a lower level now, Chip.....I needed the height above fences for the position my garden is in.....x
my sister has an electric one off a cord and swears by it, about an extra six or seven feet up and not that heavy.
