Overlooking Brownies !

I am no cook but attempting to make brownies more like a science experiment. I've bought gluten free packets and all I have to do is add eggs etc and mix /cook but they keep coming out more like chocolate sponge than the nice fudgey brownies I'm trying to make. Any ideas?!

Sounds a bit of a faff Scarlett - just go out and buy some.
Of use real ingredients
Nigella's everyday brownies take some beating and they're so simple to make. If they're coming out spongey, try cooking them for a couple of minutes less, to achieve that wobble which will turn into a fudginess when cooled.

They may look sweet and innocent but the little blighters have a pack mentality and are well on the way to being highly trained survival specialists.
I agree with Lady CG. It's easily done.
oz, you're right there mate, they end up training the SAS!
The gluten free mix is never going to work for brownies. Just make proper ones.
