As a card carrying atheist, the sacreligious aspect doesn't worry me - but I'm not sure how well it will sit with some of the more straight-laced believers?

Straight laced? No. Hardly surprising though.
The Church of England gave up preaching the gospel years ago, now they just play to the crowds.
Sad, but further evidence what a dead institution it really is.
