I have a tv in my lounge and another in the dining room.A standard Sky box is connected to the lounge set,and I have a digi sender which enables me to view sky on the second tv without having to pay Sky multiroom charge.
I am considering replacing the lounge tv withh HDMI tv and upgrading to sky HD. If I do this will the digi sender still transmit to the second tv which is not HD ready?

Thankyou for that.
Does this mean that to watch HD channels in the second room that the tv in there should be anHDMI set. Makes it rather expensive.
I live on my own so have to prepare and eat while some of the sporting events are being televised and sport would be the main usage, Sky is transmitting a sports channel at all times, but I can't see it being worth best part of 2K.
a normal tv would suffice.
