Why would anyone trust any substance available at these "music" festivals? Do parents no longer tell their kids not to take things when you have no idea what it is? madness.

Very much I am in favour of the legalisation of most drugs.
cassa - // Is that a call for legalisation then TheChair?

In my opinion if you want any of the illegal drugs made legal you would have to prove their safety. //

We have cross-posted, but as I have said, I believe there is a strong case for legalisation.

Government control would mean that drugs could be manufactured within stringent safety standards and the dosage variations and contained involved in illegal drugs - and therefore the huge number of deaths - could be eliminated.

It I buy a packet of cigarettes in Edinburgh, and a packet in Torquay, I know that government control means that the drug content is the same.

I believe it makes sense to do that for all drugs.

As I said, we don't have a say in whether or not we have drugs, that ship has sailed long ago.

Control and safety are things we can ensure, if we want to.
The war on drugs seems every bit as bogus as the war on terror except the terrorists are eventually brought into the community of nations, once there's been enough slaughter and most importantly oodles of cash all round.
Oops - for 'contained', please read 'contamination'.
douglas - // The war on drugs seems every bit as bogus as the war on terror … //

I believe it is.

Both sound wonderful, the idea of 'fighting a war' against something is a great political soundbite.

Fighting an enemy that you can't see is meaningless, and the 'wars' should be stopped for the futile and costly waste of time that they are.
Hi cassa I mean via social media. People angry they've lost 50 quid and direciting their anger towards the dead girl and family
That may be stretching the definition of 'people' to breaking point.
Absolute sub human monsters :(
Oh that good old nugget social media.

Actually I can understand being annoyed at losing £50 but to blame the dead people and their family’s is grotesque and not helpful.

A Druggie is a Druggie, was a Druggie, sad for those who have lost Family, but it was always going to happen.
Baldric - // A Druggie is a Druggie, was a Druggie, sad for those who have lost Family, but it was always going to happen. //

Do I interpret your post correctly - you believe that any person who takes drugs will die from taking them?

I for one am living proof that your notion is invalid.
all very tragic and unfortunate but.. will happen again..and again ..

Well bully for you Andy.
Beechams Powders or Lemsip doesn't get you in to this party.
Baldric - // Well bully for you Andy.//

No need to be snide, I am making an observation, not boasting about a success.

better start the count down, ......5.....
TTT - // well who'd have guessed AH was on the steam tugs! //

I have no idea what you are talking about - ?
Legalise all drugs !. Let the stupid idiots take as much as they like. Then in a few years time when the effects of all these so-called safe drugs start taking over their minds and bodies they might just begin to wish that they had never started taking drugs in the first place.No-one knows what the long term effects will be.
