I've asked this question before, but I still havn't managed to stop blushing! It happens even when I don't feel embarrassed (therefore making it worse) Has anyne else managed to overcome a problem like this? If so how?! Please help me before I have to become a hermit!

nicrite, I don't know your age, but until I was about thirty, I was a permanent blusher...at 50 I still am. the difference is that now I ignore it yes I know that that is not an easy thing to do and maybe some counselling or other self help type activity would support you. You don't have to be a hermit over this, there are loads of us out there. I'm really glad that I got to not caring before the hot flushes started..mine are like a whole body blush!! Practically, do you blush really for no reason, ie is it a flush? if it is then it may be as well to get medically checked out if you have not already done so. Come on any other serial blushers of both genders reading this, lets stand up ...well type up and be counted
I could give exactly the same answer as woofgang, (I'll be 50 in 3 weeks) It started in my teens & when I started work there was another girl who blushed but I'd never really noticed until someone started calling us sunrise & sunset! A lot of the time it's because you are thinking too much about yourself & I know it's hard but try & get into the habit of concentrating more on the other person/people.I did see Paul Mckenna treat someone on TV recently so you could always ring a few therapists & ask whether they use the same method as he does - it's not hypnotism. Please don't hide away 'cos then you'll develop other problems...have a good hairdo/make-up, (you are female???) wear nice clothes & smile. You are a very sensitive person & there's nothing wrong with that!
im a 22 yo male and this has just started happening to me a couple of years ago . I am not a shy guy . In fact im quite the oppisite and this makes it more bizzare . I get a hard time from my work mates for it . Even if 1 person says look at gnasher with the red face without fail i will blush . now i just stand up and shout and swear at them to make them shut up and keep up the male bravado....hehe. ( this has only started happening since i started working in an office so i dont kno if this has anything to do with it )
