please not a football section

could we please not have a football category as it quite plainly fits in the sport category. Instead could we use the space to set up a blogging area for users as i think that could do wonders for the site

LOT speak to those who like sport but not footie...you will see that footie massively dominates the sports section, to teh point that most other sport questions are quicklypushed from teh front page, often with few, if any answers. In addition, many footie questions envoke opinions and banter, rather than just facts and figures, in response and so often footie questions can rumble on for some time, banter going back and forth. Ahhh the joys of Footie, makes me smile just thinking about it. Anyway, back to subject, I'm blissfully unaware of much of what goes on on other AB topics, but the very lovely Mrs AB Ed and her team have decided in their wisdom that THIS topic deserves the FIRSTsub-section of its own. Who knows, if everyone plays nicely like we do in Sport (and stops with the constant whinging and moaning ;o)) you all too may get the sub category of your dreams.................

As usual, I agree with all of what Kick has said. There's plenty of sections here that I never use, so I just don't go into them. It's as simple as that. Everyone has different interests, and I'm sure the footy section will be a lot more popular than, for example, Motoring, or Parenting.

Let them have it, they're all happy enough and I'm sure in time Mrs AB Ed will put in other sub sections if the demand is there. There's no reason why there can't be room for a blogging bit too I'm sure.

I'd bet this is the first of many sub categories guys. But I'd also bet that those who badger Mrs Ab Ed the most will wait the longest. Just a hunch mind, but I think she has a rather attractive wicked streak ;oP

before all the moaning anout everyone posting crap in B&S...loads of people moaned about Sport being drowned with Football posts.

this now leaves Sport for the rest of the Sports and Hobbies etc.

B&S could be subcatogorised to dilute the srap out of their, leaving Health Qs in its own section.
