I see the Olivers are giving it a go but a lot of older people are struggling. Oddly enough I only use cash in places like bars and cafes etc but it would not be much of a leap to go cashless. I know that Gregorys are on the way out but do you think bangers and mash will follow?

JD - They used the occasion to make their first foreign jaunt (I should have explained). S-i-L was a lorry-driver so was used to traversing countries and talked them into crossing the border.
Our buses now have contactless facility on their ticket machines.

Fair (or should that be fare!!!) enought - but there is a £30 limit on contactless payments.

My weekly ticket is over £30!

Haven't done so for probably two years or so.
The Latvian lads down the car wash are probably the only cash transaction I do. Anywhere. Oh, and tipping in restaurants.
I heard that a main argument for abolition of cash is the reduction in crime it will bring. I would be interested in your view NJ.

Z - M No-one is opposing machines, Luddite-fashion. Let those who will use them do so. Merely defending a system which has operated for millennia and which we wish to preserve alongside the more modern methods. Not an equivalence. :)
