i am thinking about getting into hairdressing, i am 17 and a 1/2, what kind of wages do they start on, and what is the best way to get into this career? anyone got any advice?

I would suggest for you to go and get a part-time job in a salon you like the look of... you can gain good knowledge and experience from this. (even though you will be sweeping up, washing hair and making tea&coffee!!) however you will be able to get advice from the hairdressers in the salon that will go hand-in-hand with your course. Most local tech colleges do hairdressing courses. they are usually good.

ive been in hairdsressing 3 years now, started as an apprentice as ur age, started on �90 a week, going up each step u qualify. Have u found anything yet? ur defo better learning in the salon rather than college
