"I daren't go anywhere near Dr Google."

Go on...force yourself.
May be completely symtomless.
Heartburn.

The are by far the commonest symptoms.........
It can be very painful in a particular place which is eased if you put pressure on it.
Question Author
Heartburn and frequent burping.

Last time I asked Dr Google about several symptoms, it came back with labyrinthitis (sp)
Scared the behookies off me

Pixie, thanks xx
Well, it's not labyrinthitis this time..;-)
Yes it could be a hiatus hernia........
My HH gave me major acid reflex.
reflux^^^^^^^
Question Author
I know I shouldn't, but I do like the thought of a major telling me I have a reflex

(apologies, told a doc this week that I was a glass half full gal, and a mate was glass empty, only thing is, the glass still needs topped up)

Alba. Check NHS choices, informative and simple to read .
As Anne indicated, the trick to getting meaningful information about medical conditions from Google is to add 'nhs' to your search string:

https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/hiatus-hernia/
Question Author
thanks Anne, will do.
Have similar symptoms to my late mum, but that's completely different :-)

Besides which, save me $47 from the removed poster lol

Am due a visit to the doc this week and will mention to him - gawd, it never rains but it pours
Rather than me saying simple to read, more like user friendly. Most things are treatable alba.
Doh - Yes, reflux.

Get it checked by the doc. The prolonged acid reflux caused damage to the muscles in my oesophagus (sp), so I sometimes have a bit of trouble swallowing. It has also caused Barretts (though mild)
danny....Buenchico has already given that invaluable website 2055 last night.
No harm in repeating good advice .
Asquith.......I quite agree.
Question Author
late back in replying, thanks to all for the advice and links xx
