Why does my hose always leak at the connection to the tap? thanks

Its possible your rubber washer inside the connector has become worn and may need replacing, I think its a good idea to always keep a few spares handy.
This is a very common fault with most connectors but I find the brass couplings less likely to leak.
If you have jets of water spouting all over the place, as a temporary measure it may be necsessary to wrap some rag around it to contain the leak.
Also old hoses and often become perished or brittle and are best stored away from frost during winter to prolong its "life". I find the 'jubilee clips' that tighten with a wing nut around the hose. Good luck T bird+

Thunderbird's usual good advice would have been my first thought as well... however the actual brass fitting attached to the hose is a swivel, as you can see. This sometimes wears out or gets bent where it goes into the actual hose end. If the new washer doesn't solve your problem, a new fitting may have to be... well... fitted. They are avialable at DIY's and are a simple matter... Best of luck!

I have the same problem. Mine is a new hose. Have put a new washer in and it still sprays out and drips all down the hose. In fact I don't think I have ever had one that works without dripping.
