i have in no uncertain terms complained to G Tech, about my upright vacuum
cleaner, maybe they will take this one back and find something that works.
I am disgruntled i have to complain, but the truth is the machine even after its been cleaned, tips out dust onto the carpet, which is opposite to what its supposed to do. Is it worth getting it off your chest, i would have sent the e mail to Nick Grey inventor of the G Tech but no idea how that's done.

I have found it worth making comments about problems but politely....firmly and not giving up but not ranting.
where did you buy it?
Definitely wort it - a well worded complaint can get desired results most times.

Hope it does for you.
Emmie, have you cleaned the filters? If you have then the G-Tech contact number is 01905 345 891.
I'd wait for the dust to settle! ;-)
I would have thought that in this day and age companies would be much keener to deals with complaints properly. It just needs someone to publish an adverse review on Facebook and their reputation could be seriously damaged.

i have been on to them via e mail now we are on our fifth one, apparently i have to take out the filters, which i did before and got covered in dust, then take out four screws someplace, i might just as well bin it, for the use its been.
I have been well rewarded after a number of complaints, gift vouchers, free rail tickets, upgrades and goodwill gestures of various amounts of money. I have had free desserts and wine in restaurants, and money off holidays. I am a reasonable person but I expect good service and products that work. The key is persistence keep going back at them until they give in. In my experience they nearly always do.
Emmie, did you wash the filter pads?
Question Author
i am supposed to take the thing apart, which seems pointless, i know how to clear the bales, and now the filters which have to be washed, what a flippin palaver.
danny has a point. I bought a new vacuum cleaner which after working perfectly well for months suddenly …. didn’t. Then I read the instructions which told me to wash the filter monthly. Oops! I didn't know it had a filter! And there was me just about to take it back to the shop!
I have a spare set and change the filter pads once a month by washing them out under a running tap.If you want to pursue this I would do it over the phone where you can better argue your case.
It's also worth remembering they have nothing like the capacity of a conventional cleaner, even with the dust compressed
I have just cleaned our Hoover stick cleaner. Apart from the filters have you cleaned the actual tube (the long stick part). Ours was throwing dust out and it was because this tube had become blocked.
I have a very small vacuum cleaner which I have had for 12 years. It has a brown paper bag and when it stops picking up dust I know it's time to change the bag. I have never had any bother; it has a very powerful suction. Not bad value for £35 and it's still going strong.
You cannot beat the old style hoovers. I have an Henry and it is brilliant.

i will let them get back to me, i thought this was going to be fairly straightforward, but its not to be.
In my experience (of daughter's assorted cylinder vacuum cleaners) cylinder vacs are absolute rubbish. Get a normal upright - twice the suction and far less faffing about.
