Of all the alleged creator Gods imagined by man (a couple of thousand at least), why do you (if you're religious) opt for the Abrahamic God in particular?

Indeed - which to the impartial observer makes it all the more bizarre.
Hazi-Hammenuhoth,
\\You have been unable to disprove anything with your arguments, so this 'clearly' doesnt apply here.//
It seems you are expecting naomi to prove a negative, ie God doesn't exist, yet you are unable/unwilling to prove your positive, ie God does exist.

Hi Vulcan- I'm not expecting Naomi to prove anything as I explained earlier. I prove God every day, and people can make their own choice as to whether they do the same.
Hi Naomi, I am in full agreement with your research that Jesus was rightly King of the Jews- the name given to him also by Pontius Pilate in mocking derision. It's nice to be able to agree on something!

I'm not sure we are any nearer to answering your original post, but at least I have made an attempt to show you what my personal beliefs are.

From what I can see, you are to remain unconvinced of Christianity, which is fine by me- but perhaps you have gained an insight into why I believe in the Abrahamic God.

I wish you all the best with your future research, and hope you don't get accused like the Apostle Paul did: Acts 26:24 : , "Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad!"

Hazi-Hammenuhoth, haha! If it makes you feel better to have a little dig, that’s fine by me – but whilst we’re talking about people going mad, see Mark 3:21. Odd that Jesus’ family thought he was loopy. With them knowing who he really was they might have expected him to be just a little … erm …. unusual. ;o)
Thanks Naomi, I concede that Jesus was indeed "unusual". No harm at all meant by the "little dig"- just wanted to endour brief discourse (maybe there will be others!) on a positive note. Thanks for taking the time to reply- it's been interesting to hear your thoughts. Best wishes

My pleasure.
Hazi - // I prove God every day ... //

I think you are being somewhat dishonest with yourself there.
bit of a quote out of context there Hazy

acts 26 - 25 - and Paul says I am not mad but speak with truth and sobriety
