Ibizaboy . . . . given the way this is panning out - why not choose something else from the menu - try the vegetarian option perhaps?

Hmmmm...Will there be cheese and biscuits ?
let us hope so. lol
Ignorance and bias Islay is the best I can offer as an explanation.

Maybe a tad of bitterness too, the outside world can be be overwhelming for some.
Blade steak was always a cheap cut of beef that my mother braised or used in stews.
It is often used in pies and meat puddings, certainly not suitable for grilling.
Agree hc, blade has long been a traditional cut.

I remember being laid up with a sprained ankle once and my Brother refusing to go to the butchers and ask for 'some skirt' - Mum had to write it down:-)
Blade/flat iron/skirt are cheap cuts they can be cooked without braising with the right level of skill.

hilarious collection of replies, thankyou all........still none the wiser.....perhaps a call to the venue might clear it up.!!!
I would, let us know what they say.
Looks like it's a typo.
"a slade of beef" served up by noddy holder!
Tell us how to cook blade without braising, Eccles. We need to know!
Thanks for the BA - much appreciated!

The thread, having got this far, I was going to suggest next that you skip the meal and just go for a slice of the wedding cake!
Gently HC.
Not convinced, Eccles.
hc Eccles is a highly trained well respected chef if she says cook it gently them you can be sure its right.
