Coat Zipper Problem

Hi, I have just got a coat back from the dry cleaners and the zip now opens when I zip it up and does up when I unzip it.

Does anyone know if or how to make it go back to normal please?

I would take it back to the cleaners and get them to put it right free of charge.

It does sound like they're responsible diddly if the problem wasn't there when the garment was left I agree.

On every occasion I've had a zip go wrong any repair has not been completely successful and has always resulted in a replacement. I'd go with diddlydo, complain to the cleaners and ask for it to be replaced.

I don't know if it's on Eleena's link but I fixed a zip that did this with help from youtube really easily by just gently squeezing the zipper head with small pliers, it worked instantly and has stayed fixed.

Unsure one could convincingly claim a clean was responsible for the zip malfunction. Normally where a zip does that one can take the tag to the bottom and then encourage the teeth to part from the top so it gets back into sync.

It turns out it was a double zip pull!!!

Which I hadn't noticed before!!!

DD spotted it and showed me how to work a zip... in one easy lesson lol
