Love this version of Stille Nacht as well :) Feeing dead festive now :)
Is it Rockie and one for me and my object :)
doesn't cliff look a wee bit like P in that vid kva ???
'In the Bleak Midwinter' Harold Darke version.
We are in the middle of rehearsing for 'Carols by Candlelight' on the 22nd - I hate 'Away in a manger' and 'Silent Night'. Jewel in the crown is 'Angels Carol' by John Rutter. Do 'YouTube' it - Cambridge Singers - we're nearly as good as them, honest!
If Cliff had longer hair and a beard and a bigger nose I could see that Minty :)
this was during his Heathcliff days !
This is my favourite tradition carol
Sorry about that I meant to post while Shepherds Watchas my favourite traditional with Fairy Tale as Modern
I love Oh Come All Ye Faithful at the Midnight Service,
Yea Lord we greet thee
Born this happy morning
is the start of Christmas proper for me, sends goosebumps, I get very annoyed when it's included earlier.

It was on a starry night
When the hills were bright
reminds me of coming back from Germany on the ferry, the kids were in a corner of the bar singing their repertoire from school and came back with a load of money they'd been given!

Away in a manger, my daughter, at 3 1/2 sang this for Father Christmas, he tried to stop her but she insisted on three verses, the queue wasn't amused.
As a young boy, who first went to school in 1958, it has to be "Away in a Manger"....always popular in my Catholic Primary School, in North London....it can still bring a tear to my eye, even now.
This one always makes me cry :o(
