I've always hated my teeth - how viable is it to have braces as an adult? Has anyone out there done it?

I had my braces taken out for after 1 year depending on how badly you need them. Some people need them for in for as long as 2 years.
Yes, adults can have braces. They're normally the traditional fixed braces which are worn from six months to two years. They can be fixed behind the teeth so they aren't visible. They need a lot of brushing to keep them clean and be prepared to everyone to ask why you're wearing them. They cost from 350. There's a new treatment called Invisalign which uses 3-D computer imaging to create plastic aligners that snap on tightly over each set of teeth. They aren't suitable for everyone and cost from 4000.
