Anneasquith im exactly the same as you. I really don't see any point in giving one to your next door neighbour or people you see regularly, although it is nice if they're overseas. I haven't sent any for years and it's such a relief.
all written and in the post tomorrow... mostly to folk I don't see through the year, but I give a card and a pressie to my immediate neighbour and the old lady on the end who is 83 and lives alone.. we do some shopping for them and get in the morning papers also..cut their grass... they know I am here when they need help..also some selection boxes for the 3 under 10 kids in the cul de sac
//And that's six too many.. //
Blimey, wasn't going to comment but there arnt half some ''bah humbug'' types about.
I love writing and sending xmas cards myself.
I'd rather the money I used to spend on the 80 cards and stamps I used to buy, was used for something worthwhile. That money now goes to our local hospitals cancer unit where my mum, dad and sister had such wonderful care.
If that's bah humbug..
I posted mine on Saturday! Last year I was very late with everything, and this year I'm hosting xmas dinner so want to get cards written and sent and presents wrapped early! I can then focus on dinner closer to the time. So i wrote my cards on Friday night, and they were posted on Saturday!
I've checked and updated my addresses, hope the printer and labels play fair this year, I can never remember which way up to put the label sheet! The first card has arrived, had a change of address so it made sense, will do ours this next week, send off next.
