Unbelievably naive! So cue every attention seeking parent sending their boy in dressed as the sugar plum fairy! what could go wrong?

I wouldn't say that. Trousers suits are all about style, old chap. Some are styled for ladies, some for men - but you knew that.

Trousers are traditionally male attire. They may be styled as women's wear, but the basic construction still follows the origins of the garment.

I can actually remember a time in the 80s when I worked for a high street bank which had a policy banning women from wearing trousers.
