Jacob Rees-Mogg: Food banks 'rather uplifting'

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-41264965

"He told LBC radio the only reason for the rise in their use was "that people know that they are there".

God help us all if this Tory Twit ever gets into Number Ten.

Meant Jobcentreplus, of course !
Khandro, 16.42 stop, and look what this CDH has said and just think about it.
You could always just use a person's name and stop making up silly tags like when you were 14 and still at school.
Yup I am "spinning" by posting the whole exchange in full context, including what he was asked and giving specific reasons for objecting.

Christ, I must be the most utterly incompetent spin doctor in the business!
// I am quite happy to agree with Gulliver, in calling him an Eton College Idiot,//

It is said that jealousy is simply another name for insecurity

Jealous ?

Of Rees-Mogg ?

Are you serious ?
No, not of him personally, but I find it puzzling why, according to the sans coulottes every one who went to Eton college is an "idiot". It must be a very poor school.
Mamyalnne,17.01 how do you know what a CDH is, you should be at school PNB, ok.

From the article

///"To have charitable support given by people voluntarily to support their fellow citizens I think is rather uplifting and shows what a good, compassionate country we are," he said.///

Makes a mockery of Mikeys spin in the OP
Trouble is Rees Mogg is trapped in the past, he is the honourable member of the early 20th century , when you watch and listen to him, you do not see a man who want's to help the vulnerable in society as I am sure his god would have wanted, all you you see is an elitist who has more in common with the money changers who his jesus drove from the temple.
Gulliver I was actually addressing Mikey in my response - given what I said I should have made that clear.
In our village we collect food which goes to a charity for the homeless (we've quite a lot, they prefer to be at the seaside, it's safer than the cities). Are you saying that it is not heartwarming that so many people put a bit aside every week to help others? JR-M only said that and that more people were enabled to find help because the centres were publicised more. I can't find anything to carp about.
Khandro,17.09 jealousy No, insecurity No, not in the life I have led ,and still living it now . Never ever judge other peoples lives alongside the life you are living, just try and get one if you are able , good luck on that one.
further more one person I am not jealous of is The Mogg.
OK!
Mamyalnne,18.52 sorry I do apologise, my mistake.
No need, but thank you.
