I've just pressure washed the patio but it's still not clean. There are a lot of very stubborn algae stains that won't budge. Can anyone recommend a patio cleaner that works. I've tried Jeyes and a couple of others from B&Q over the years but nothing has really lived up to its claims. It has to be safe to run off onto flower beds and with animals.

This is not a bad product Ratty. I will post the safety data sheet separately. You can order it and pick up from a local B&Q. I have an account with Screwfix and they are very handy.

Thank you Togo, it's not one I've tried yet. It doesn't appear to say if its safe for animals or if it will kill off my plants in the borders.
Patio Magic from Amazon. It's safe for animals. I used it and thought it had made no difference the first day. Within a couple of days it had totally disappeared.
...and you literally just dilute it and pour it on.
If you look at the safety data sheet I posted at 9:45 , it says under 3 Hazard Identification. " not regarded as a hazard under current legislation".

Thank you Pixie, I have tried that one and tbh it didn't really live up to expectations. Anyway thank you for taking the time to reply.
Ratty I have the same problem as you and I have pets and don't want to kill the creatures that venture into my garden, well, except the slugs. I have gorgeous white slabs and the only way I can get them clean is to literally scrub them. Hard work but nothing else does it. Sorry:-(
Lady speaks the truth there. We have a riven sandstone patio and although some cleaners are better than others we find that boiling water is the first treatment, then a cleaner, and if needed a good scrub with a warm water/mild bleach solution. This year was particularly bad due to the mild wet winter.
