We have a large apron around our house and a patio. Both are dimpled concrete. Stops us slipping but difficult to keep clean.

We can't use a power washer so has anyone used a patio cleaner they could recommend?

Thanks G.

Thank you, Margo. Will look at that.
I've just used bog standard bleach, sprinkle over, add some water, spread over with a stiff yard brush and leave to soak over night and repeat the following night. But don't do this if you have a dog or cat obviously, unless your sure you can keep them indoors for a while.
You're welcome Gness, we have dimpled slabs too. It's quite expensive but worth it he reckons

Thank you, Teacake. That was a consideration but we have visiting foxes, pine marten, sheep and cats overnight. I can supervise for the recommended time in products that say safe after so many hours but bleach would worry me, especially if it rained as it does here occasionally.

Reviews look great, Margo but does it actually take months to work?
He's just nipped out, but it doesn't work overnight I think you have to be a bit patient. I think he reapplies it once a year, I'll check and get back to you
It's definitely safe for animals
By far the best product I've used on my patio is Dairy Hypochlorite.
I usually buy it in 25 litre tubs and it costs me around £18.00 ish - less than £1 per litre.
The first time I used it, I had some stubborn green patches on a small wall that my power washer wouldn't shift ...... when I used this stuff, the green bits literally slid off.
I can't recommend this stuff highly enough :)

Thanks, Giz. Sounds good. Will look at that too.
Dairy Hypochlorite is chlorine-based ie bleach, so not too good an idea...
It is bleach, but you don't need to leave it on overnight or anything like that. I usually put it on (diluted of course), work it in a bit with a stiff brush (you don't need to scrub hard, you just agitate it up a bit to work it in). I leave it for 30 mins or so, then swill it off ..... safe for pets and wildlife :)
