Crossword Puzzler's Stamina

I don't do crosswords because I an too dim, but I come on AB some mornings at 8:00 am -which is 7:00am in the UK - and people are already asking for help with the day's crosswords, which doesn't demonstrate much of an intellectual struggle would you not say?

Oh gosh, I wish I had a £ for every time this question popped up in one guise or another.

I agree - some posters on AB just want it all handed to them on a plate. We all need help from time to time, particularly with the parsing of cryptic clues, but there was one poster on here today who asked for 7 answers in one post and 6 for another crossword in quick succession. What's the point of that? For me, the fun is in the wrestle with the setter

2, It's Crosswords and Quizzes and Puzzles that bring most people to AB, that's what it's all about, if pseudo intellectuals don't like it they have no reason to be here.

Baldric; I don't doubt that there is a social aspect to AB crossword puzzlers asking for a bit of help now and then, but as these puzzles are a test of an individual's skill and ingenuity, I'm intrigued why some people are crying out for help with their day's puzzle at already at 7:00 am.
