The great outdoors is a wonderful place but loses its appeal if you get petsered by those wee beasties above, I heared on the radio (missed most of it) yesterday eating certain food like garlic and marmite, you can keep them at bay, I slightly prefer the Ozzy equivalent vegemite, which I have a large jar of and plan on puting it to the test.
Anybody else have any remedies they 'd like to share ?

Every summer I am nearly eaten alive, two years ago was terrible, I stood in front of the mirror counting all the bites and just couldn't stop itching. Then I discovered Avons skin so soft range, soft and fresh fragrance. I use the shower gel (body wash I think it's called) and then the body lotion every day and last year, even when I went to Florida I only got two bites all summer!
Hiya T+, I listened to the same radio show and all, and like spudqueen has just mentioned, they recommended Avon's Skin So Soft range, apparently gamekeepers discovered it keeps the little bu88ers at bay (though how they discovered that is suspect I guess!)

Thanks spudqueen & B00, I missed that part of the show, looks like this stuff might be worth a try,I'll give it a go next time I have a bar-b-q....hmmm, tonight looks good! Cheers
Hi I'm a natural food for mozzys it seems, tried everything the avon stuff did work but they went and changed it from woodland fresh to soft and fresh this the skin so soft range.
The new stuff don't work I'm afraid like marmite vitamin B1 tablets garlic tablets etc.I am currently using Repel insect repellant aerosol from Boots which seems to work ok.I have bought also the aspivenin kit @15.99 expensive but when bit it sucks out poison and you don't get that intense itching problem--hope this helps
cheers Tony
