A similar thing happened to me in Aldi this week. A disabled lady was short of 32p for her shopping. As she was in a wheelchair I generously volunteered to take her 4 pack of beans back to the shelves.

Well done Bernie....we need more people like you !
Excellent Bernie, I'm sure I'd do the same xx
Well done to you Bernie.
something similar in Markies a couple of months back..an elderly lady cold not remember her pin number and had no other means of paying, was very distressed and confused, I offered the cash £10 and she absolutely declined it..however I quietly slipped it to the cashier and suggested to her colleague that they take the lady to another till that might accept her pin whatever she put in !! this they did..lady left pride intact and Markies got paid !!
good boy cuddles xx

Not really relevant to this thread but I was once in Morrison's and a lady filled her trolley with the cheapest loaves of bread and the cheapest tins of beans, you know the type, tin of juice and three beans. I thought to myself, " I bet she runs a B&B." Some weeks later the same thing happened with a Chinese lady who cleared the shelves of the cheapest rice and sliced carrots. "Runs a takeaway", thought I. Sure enough, a while later I ventured into a rather seedy-looking, run-down Chinese takeaway in town which I had never patronised before and lo and behold, there she was. I didn't order.
Talbot!!!!
Talking of PINs, I was once behind an old lady who had just got a card and couldn't remember her PIN. We waited patiently while she tried to recall it, her muttering away all the time. Suddenly she gave a big smile and said at the top of her voice," I remember now, Battle of Hastings!"
Tallbot....that was funny ?
O' dear ... are you offended mikey?
Of course it was funny, It takes all sorts to make a team you know.
As TTT would say, " He's 'avin' a Turkish!"
No, no, he's having a giraffe!!!!!
Good for you, Bernie. Spread a little happiness and counteract o much of the misery which exists. I once had a dog escaped from the car (new acquisition) ran around the supermarket car-park (in France) chasing another dog. An elderly couple caught it and I was so grateful that I handed ver a bottle of vodka I'd just bought. Wonderful look on their faces!
Good lad Bernie xxx
It's nice to be nice. Kindness is it's own reward.
My kind of humour,Talbot,brilliant.!!
well done, forget the cynics nasty lot, ... remember the old song.......if I can help somebody as I pass along then my living will not be in vain......I too would have helped them.
I thought Talbot's comment was funny - naughty boy ....
