Thought I'd check in as its my AB 'birthday' (11 years).

My thoughts are this - does Donald Trump really have total power over decisions such as immigrants being deported, or does this still have to go through the various departments/committees like it would over here - I cannot believe one man can be given carte blanche to make such decisions without it going through due process. Your thoughts?

I think this is the first time I have ever not had a reply to a question!
I suspect you'd get a better response over in News..

There's some useful reading here... https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2016/11/09/what-it-will-take-for-president-trump-to-deport-millions-and-build-the-wall/
lankeela - it's complicated.

There are certain - very few - issues in which The President does have the final say, and does not need the approval of Congress to act.

But certainly the majority of actions do need to be agreed by more than just one person.

It's all explained here -

And Happy AB Birthday!!
