Most days I seem to get the message, display driver stopped responding and has recovered on my new HP desktop. For a second or so I either lose the picture on the screen or it has all dots on it. What is the display driver and do you think there is a fault with the new computer.
Thanks.

the driver is the bridge that connects computer and monitor.

My Nvidia card started this about 2 months ago.
Nvidia brought out a driver update - the problem stopped.

but you need to know who made your card

go to control panel | stsyem | hardware - and look
