Are there any statistics that can tell us what age the majority of 'remain' voters were? Talking to my University grandson who was a 'remain' voter al(in his estimation) fellow students were for remaining. I who voted 'leave' had a very long conversation with him as he nor his parents had ever lived in this country when it was 'self governing ' and when confronted as to why his grandfather along with grandfathers brothers , (and hundreds and thousands of men & women) went to war to keep this country free to rule ourselves, he began to see why I voted differently to him. Our youngsters have never experienced the 'freedom' we fought for so dearly, they have only ever known rules from brussels telling us what we can and cannot do. I hope they get on with getting out promptly now.. We have all had to 'bite the bullet' on results that were not our choice- that is democracy!
Resignation of the PM causing a delay to the process a bad looser who was onhis way ut anyway by his own words.
Labour in complete disarray Well no change there then.
Scotland threatening to block the process Another sore loser but it has not happened.
Rebel MPs threatening to block the process Another threat that has not haped
Anti British feeling from quite a few European quarters No change there, they have always hated us they just want our cash
A divided nation (I suppose that was always going to happen)
Not exactly 'nothing' is it tho?

I’ve spent the day with my Dad today. (91). When I arrived this morning, he was watching the telly.
He said how annoyed he is at how ‘the youngsters’ are carrying on, and how they should realise that if it wasn’t for his generation, then they wouldn’t have the freedom that they have now.

He also pointed out that in the run-up to and the aftermath of the referendum, he hasn’t seen any very old people interviewed and asked for their opinion, when after all, they are as entitled to an opinion the same as everyone else.
I think he has a point there.
27% of eligible 18-24yr olds voted to remain, julie.
Thank you for your comments, and for the statistics, the years will take quite a while to unravel I am afraid, I will watch to see just what has been 'foisted' on us over the years from Brussels. I have always felt very aggrieved that they could not balance their books and the Auditors would not 'sign them off'. Having worked in accounts all my life my books balanced to the penny every year. With all the qualified people in the Eurozone they cannot find any that can do the job properly?. Accounting for other peoples contributions deserves to be absolutely transparent. Well thats my opinion!
god it is lucky that julia magz kids did no history at school
or else they would have given the older generation hell,

the older generation fought two world wars and lost the empire on the orders of the real winners - America. the loss was a result none of them wanted

and having had mega change foisted on them for great sacrifice and not an awful lot of gain , they vote fifty years later for "no change - ever!"

the younger generation missed a trick there then.

^You're a very rude little man, aren't you.
One man's rudeness is another person's honest view- it seems to be the same for both sides in these Brexit discussions. The points scoring will stop soon I hope
Whatever someones honest view is, it doesn’t detract from the fact that so many people died, and so many people suffered, and had they not done so we may not now be living in a democracy with the choices and freedom we have now.
To suggest otherwise is unreasonable.

julia, tough to balance the books when there are a lot of "special" unknown transactions to pay for the corruption.
