Sometimes in the morning I get itchy lips, mouth and tongue. When this occurs and when I brush my teeth in the morning it almost feels like small spasms. It doesn't happen every morning and never at night.

I eat well and stay away from sugary foods but unfortunately, I do smoke between 5-7 cigarettes a day unless i drink at weekends when I tend to smoke approx 20 and i used to be a heavy drinker during my time as a student, although I graduated last year so have only been drinking at weekends.

I'd really appreciate it if anyone could shed some light on this matter and also on whether I should see either a doctor or dentist.

Many thanks in advance. X

I usually get this if I've eaten something I was allergic to. But from your post I assume you haven't as yet eaten breakfast when this happens.

wouldn't think it's got anything to do with fags or booze though. I would go to the docs to get checked out

Mine also itches when I'm allergic to something
oral thrush can have these symptoms, get it checked out x
