You'd have thought the AB gnomes could at least have bought a cheap bunch of daffs and put them up at the masthead in honour of the day.
Aye. We won't be able to move for bloody shamrocks in a fortnight. ;-(

It's the green beer and fake ginger beards that get up my nose on that blessed day.
Google translate doesn't like it

"david day festival happy"

It seems to prefer
>Dydd Dewi sant hapus.

I always flip to and fro between languages and tweak it until flipping stops making uncommanded changes.

Basically some human input has gone into it and it translates useful
phrases. You have to force it to translate words one at a time by only asking one word at a time but, if you try to put together a phrase from single words which you've only just learned and swap language away and back, it does not return what you expect.

Thank you Sandy - only half Welsh actually
You're putting the beer into the wrong hole Sandy. Try lower down.

I like the way this campaign presumes that no pronounciation guide is needed but it's not aimed at us saesneg. Before you can use google to translate something you've only heard, you have to work out the right spelling. Eg I see it is Sosban Fach, not sospan vach.

When watching the rugby I never understood why the Welsh crowd all wanted to put the saucepan back. Shouldn't have brought it with them anyway.
Morning sandy. 'She who must be obeyed' has left for work today dressed like a biscuit tin lid. Complete with stovepipe type hat. I have promised Anglesey Eggs for later.
Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus, Ok I'm not actually Welsh but My Mother was Welsh and I live in Wales and loving it!!
Diolch Yn Fawr Sandy, " Thank you very much"
Diolch.
You got your daffs sandy, a dragon having a leek would have been innovative.
The Google Doodle is lovely today. It's very tasteful, I think.
happy daffy Taffy day to all xx
Happy St David's Day to all Welsh ABers.

Togo, do you remember the dragon who appeared in a London magistrates court on the morning of a big game charged with leaking in the street? I wonder did he get to see the game.
Don't see why not sandy. As long as he had the right shape ball.
