I am not sure the story of 'better meals for Muslims' is true.
I have worked in a Prison and every meal had to have an option that was 'suitable for Muslims' but anyone could choose it not just Muslims.

Let's try again

Yes indeed a joke.

I don't know what splits my sides more - the fact that this worthless piece of excrement has been allowed to "convert" to Islam. Whatever it entails he should be spending his time breaking rocks, painting the coal white or sewing mailbags, not being allowed to indulge in a religion that has no place in this country, let alone our prisons. Or the fact that Muslims are treated differently in Her Majesty's Prisons.
Why would he want more time out of his cell though?
Not a wise move for him surely :-)
^^ In a 'closed' jail you are locked up in your cell 23 hours a day.
Some prisoner will do almost anything to get out of the cell.
There should be exceptions to the death penalty. He should be executed as unfitting to be on this planet.
I never think I have seen it all to be honest.

But you have to see the actions of this man for what they are.

He is destined to spend his life behind bars, so he has two options to make life more interesting - attention seeking, and playing the system.

He is doing both - and that is only to be expected - and quite successfully it seems.

If he enjoys his petty privileges, then that does no harm, but his attention seeking should be carefully monitored, and kept away from the media, which only serves his purpose, unless his takes become proven facts.
Oops - 'tales'.
david - in this case I heartily agree with you ...
I do hope the warders ensure he is up every day in time for the dawn Call to Prayer...especially in the summer months!
And I do hope they ensure he observes Ramadan to the letter. I note the longest day falls just about in the middle this year. Looks like he could do with losing a few pounds.
