I'm making a game, and I need to know something.

If 79.5 years were to pass in a single week, then how long would one year be?

Doesn't look simple to me, but agreed, it is arithmetic.
Does anyone remember doing ' sums' ?
It's fairy simple with a calculator- divide a week by 79.5 if you want the answer in weeks, or divide 7 days by 79.5 if you want the answer in days, or divide 24x7 hours by 79.5 if you want the answer in hours, etc.
leap years can affect it slightly but I doubt it matters for what Alex wants since the 79.5 years figure is probably not precise to the nearest day. To get a precise answer we'd need to know which years were covered by the 79.5 years so we could look at the number of Feb 29ths
(60*24*7)/79.5 = 126.8 minutes = 2hours 6 minutes a 7 year old could do it.
So that's 2 hours 7 minutes then to the nearest minute

All of a sudden, once every anniversary isn't sounding half bad.
Leap years don't affect anything. A year is the length of time it takes the earth to go round the sun; it is NOT 365 days or 366 days in a leap year, it is approx 365.242 days. Use that to work out the hours.

How do you know it's not relevant.? The OP hasn't said anything about levels of accuracy required or meaning the number of cycles of the sun rather than calendar days If an exact figure is needed to the nearest hour or something like that then surely it depends on which years and months the 79.5 year period covers. If a rounded figure is needed to +/- 0.1% then we can say for sure leap years are not relevant
But maybe Alex has forgotten about it or is saying 'gawdelpus'

if you want to do it a simpleton's way, just for a game, then multiply it by 52.....
the OP says 79.5 years, LYs are irrelevant because that term is merely an admin tool for our calendar, unless we are nit picking further, a year is the same length every year, 365.24 days. Thus (60*24*7)/79.5 is the correct calculation, 2hours 6 minutes 48 seconds.
If you are warping time within a game is standard mathematics any use here ?
Since a 'year' is redefined by the question as a new period of time equal to one week divided by 79.5 the standard definition of one year is not pertinent to the question.

Alex may well have forgotten about this. The figure of 79.5 does seem a little bit odd. Maybe it's the average life expectancy and the idea is to condense 79.5 into a life of one week.
If so, I think it would be much easier, Alex, just to use simple figures- e.g. use a lifespan of 70 years = 1 week, so 10 years maps to one day
