Absolutely disgraceful that this has been allowed and deliberately encouraged and there is no end in sight...

Canary, //Immigrants have been flowing into this country for thousands of years - it's NOTHING NEW. //

What's happening now is new.
Mass immigration is the major cause of our rapid population increase.
It is estimated that net migration plus births to foreign-born parents has accounted for 85% of population growth since 2000.
If net migration continues at recent levels, the UK’s population is expected to rise by 2.5 million over the next five years and by 8 million over the next fifteen years
Official projections show that 60% of this 8 million increase will be down to future migration.

I'm obliged to you retro.
Canary, there's a difference between a flow and a deluge.......

Yes and they were tradesmen and merchants who offered new services and skills to this country. They gave and fought for this country as my rather teutonic family did. Now they just flood here for the pickings and actually breed hatred for this country.
Hands up which you would rather.!!
Quite right retro. Silk makers, silversmiths, lace makers and many more came to escape prejudice and persecution in their own countries. They eagerly adopted our values of tolerance and personal freedom of speech. The latest newcomers do no such thing. They are generating their own enclaves and separate societies that maintain the very conditions that they profess to be in need of asylum from.
"Little Englanders"

Ah, here we go the usual name calling from the left when they have no real argument and wish to silence the decent.
Note that it has to be 'Little Englanders' but no mention of the Swedish, Danish, Hungarians, Czechs or others who are busy shoring up their borders as we speak. ''The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their understanding of their history' George Orwell
Togo, I live near Southampton. I can assure you that whatever your perception, the majority of people who live and work there are not just UK born but local born. There are certain areas which have a higher percentage of people with different ethnicities, also a gigantic university campus which brings in students from all over the world.
Thank you Woofgang. I am genuinely glad to hear what you say. It is about 40yrs since my last visit and I was surprised not to hear that soft Hampshire burr during my visit to the lovely city. I was very pleased though that some of the distinguished Georgian buildings were in good repair and being used.

The politicians and employers won't be happy until most of the indigenous working class are working for peanuts and living in hovels.

It won't effect the new comers they are used to a sub standard living, their standard of living will have increased, enough to send some of their cash back to the countries they came from.
