I have an old ottoman that I am refurbing, there is a chain between the body and the lid to stop the lid falling back.

I am going to replace it cos it's covered in paint from the previous owner but where can I get one? Thought I'd have a look on eBay but don't know what to type in.

Chain, lid chain, box chain all throw up thousands of random unsuitable items.

Lid Chain Stay?
get a bit of chain from B&Q..loads to choose from
Even a 'stay' made from folded fabric of the same sort you are recovering with, and sewn on would be good.
What about using paint remover on the existing one?

Thanks for all your suggestions, of course I could use any chain couldn't I? Why didn't I think of that? They don't call me silliemille for nothing! LOL!

ferlew, I was thinking of doing just that if I couldn't find the right chain.
You also use staples or screw eyes if you look at screwfix.com lots of options available
