This was on our "Bucket List". A relative used to live there in the 90s. It's just been crossed off. What will these countries do without Tourism? This is a very poor country.

I'm puzzled as to why this would make any difference to the likelihood of terrorism there, which presumably is the concern. Dubious rulers make these sorts of announcements from time to time although this one may well frighten a few horses admittedly

My first learning of the Gambia probably came from The News of The Screws.
A popular bolt hole for frustrated old Brit Biddies who would visit,fall in love with their toy boy studs who served them their Daiquiris and then marry and bring them back to the UK. A few months later we would read, in the Sunday paper, of said biddie bemoaning her fate and empty bank account . Lol
They will have to depend upon Allah providing.
