Hi all you clever techies. Is it possible for me to set my digital camera up as a webcam? Its not a video camera but it has the option to make short (1 minute long) videos. The camera is a Fuji Finepix and I'm using XP home

Doubt it as the webcam needs a permanent usb link to the pc - why not just buy a cheap one you can get them now for about a tenner.
Some Fuji Finepix do have support to be used as a webcam with Windows - does it not mention anything about it in the manual?

Its an F440

Just had a look round the Fuji site to see if they say anything. Not very user friendly at all. Couldn't find anything that said you could use your camera as a webcam but this website says you can (doesn't say how though). Don't seem to be any manuals for the 440 either but there is one for the 460. You can download it here
