About 20 years ago, I saw a black-and-white second world war film on the BBC. I can't remember where it was set, but I have a feeling it was somewhere in the Far East. It involved 12 men in the jungle, I think, and they were stranded after something went wrong - their plane crashed or they got cut off from everyone else, or something like that. They got knocked off one by one, and the last scene saw the only remaining soldier fighting off multiple enemy attacks. Does this film ring any bells?

Sounds a bit like operation burma - an old errol flynn film but the ending is wrong - there's more than one left at the end and they get rescued out of the jungle. If you can think of any other details esp. who might have been in it it would be pretty easy to look up on imdb (internet movie database)
it could be 'The long the short and the tall' 1950s black and white film set in the far east jungle starring richard todd and lawrence harvey.........that has a similar plot.
