I must waste loads of cat food by tearing the top and squeezing down with my fingers but not getting it all out. I know I could use a knife but any tips on other ways to get it all out easily and quickly (I'm always doing it in a rush)

ha ha 'just needs a bit of a dust' hadnt read them earlier
Yeah, that cracked me up too!
Pouches, tins, foils, fresh chicken, tinned tuna you name it my cat Boots rejects them all. He is a nightmare, he licks the gravy off, doesn't like white chicken meat only the dark meat.......I could go on and on.
Grab by the top seal and shake vigourously.

I've given up with pouches though. Too expensive. So I now buy cheap cat food and some white frozen fish and sardines. I cook the fish every 2 days and stir it into the cheap food and my cats LOVE me!!!!!
Oh my god that photo put on here I'd just seen in the sun newspaper that day. Have just bought my local paper and the man lived in my town!! Well I'm surprised I couldt smell the stench from my house!
I think I will start using rubber gloves to get that pouch food out, at least I won't waste so much. I also buy the white fish fillets (frozen) from Sainsburys and Tesco, and cook them in the microwave with some water, at least you know what you are giving the cat. If my cat gets fussy I mix the fish with some cat food and/or biscuits. I also buy frozen chicken pieces and cook them for him instead of pouches. Just a tip, if you cook fish in the microwave put a piece of fresh lemon on top of the dish - it stops the smell.
Its interesting ...
What we need is a key similar to that used on the old Sardine Cans. That should work nicely, any ideas????
