It's fine down here Stokie but take care if it's bad where you are peeps.
Same here in Surrey - snowed all evening again, which has now frozen!
Really bad round here (Lancs) yesterday it rained all day, but rather than washing the previous snow away it just sat on top and froze on it. Like glass everywhere outside.
It looked pretty but I think it rained or sleeted on top of the snow looks fluffy but is actually crunchy/slippy
We had a slight flurry of snow in the night here in Bournemouth but it has rained since and it's mostly all melted.
A thin layer of snow here in Bristol. I think there is still something falling, but might be rain. I'm not going outside to see. Snow - eeuch!!
so disappointed expecting 4-6 inches got less than one....
lol @ everyone being so polite ;0)
Why is it funny... not exactly a subject to stir up vitriol is it?
"so disappointed expecting 4-6 inches got less than one.... "

<sniggers>
Thought someone would pick up on that... well it is very cold after all..
Damp and dreary here but no ice which in turn will hopefully auger well for a quiet night in work.
vitriol ?

vitriol ?

Get a grip rowan.
I meant it isn't a subject folk would take strong stances on its a nice helpful little thread... some things do get folk wound up on here but snowy pavemments fails to raise more than a tut tut I don't like it so I don't need to get a grip at all
I am lingering at home hoping that the snow hiding my car will remove itself. BTW last night on tv news they showed a women with bare arms and hands batting at bit of snow off the back window of her car with her fingers. The reporter said tomorrow morning a lot of people will be doing this, and I thought to myself "I dont think so".......
I was referring to .... skating ring.

I am sure if stokie was a newbie, someone would have put him right.
About 3" (snork) in Northampton but a beautiful sunny morning and it's looking very picturesque.
it ok here in the capital, looks like it snowed overnight though, but the pavements, roads are clear, i hope...
Augur even. Damn this iPod Touch!
I was dreading it a bit but as soon as I got on to the main roads it was totally fine.

I think some people round my way need to go back to school and learn about measurements though. Looking on Facebook my local area there were blizzards last night and now 6 inches of snow!!!! My garden must be well sheltered because that only managed about 2 inches max. ;)
