From Perth is the A93 via Braemar and A939 to Grantown-on-Spey scenic route suitable for my Autoquest 115 (5.6m) motorhome or should I use the main road A9 via Pitlchry and Aviemore. I would like to use the scenic route but am apprehensive and need advise.

If I was driving a vehicle of that size for leisure I'd stick to the main roads. Less stressful on you and your motorhome.
Have a good trip. :)
You'll be fine on the A939, just take it steady. I've seen double-decker coaches going over that route.. The only thing is perhaps, don't be tempted to take what looks like a short cut from the A93 to the A939 right by the entrance to Balmoral. There's a very steep hump-backed bridge along there where you may ground if you have a long wheelbase.

Enjoy.
A939 definately worth going over. A9 isn't that exciting, there are lovely views on the other route, I would recommend it.
