Disneyland Paris - are there any supermarket type shops?

I'm thinking about taking my children to Disneyland Paris in March. I've done a search of this site and got some really useful info about the cost/type of food available. It seems as though most restaurants are quite pricey (£10 for a burger, £5 for a can of Coke) and that you are not allowed to take your own food into the park. Can anyone who has been recently (i.e. in last six months) confirm this? Do they really search your bags? We'd be staying at one of the Disney hotels (Cheyenne), are there any normal shops/petrol stations nearby that sell bread, crisps etc or are you pretty much forced to buy everything from cafes? Many thanks and sorry for so many questions in one go!

Probably sounds daft but not really going for the rides, I've no doubt that thrill seekers would have more fun at Alton though. Kids are 3 and 7 so I doubt they'd be up for it either. Basically a family of lightweights.

we went with friends and the childrens ages were 1, 2,3,4,5,11 and 12.

every child loved it. There are some pretty scary rides for adults too, check out the RC ride in the new toy story area.
