If you can only fly for 8 hours max...what destinations could you go to from London?

For what?

A beach holiday?, a sight seeing trip?, a big city holiday?, a nighlife holiday?, a walking holiday?, a scuba diving holiday?

If you're heading across the Atlantic, then your choices are limited to North America and it's north-east coast; New York, Toronto and their surroundings. Start to head south from there and you can expect longer flight times. Flights to Florida, for example, will take well over 9 hours. Going east, you'd probably get as far as the Middle East (Dubai, Abu Dhabu, Bahrain etc) before you hit the 8 hour limit.

Out of curiosity, why the 8 hour limit? Is it because you don't want to fly too far or for health reasons? With lots of airlines in the Middle East, a stop of anything from an hour to a few days would be possible, before continuing a journey to the Far East or even further afield.
