Neil Armstrong.

He liked the moon so much, he stayed there but got bored......it had no atmosphere.
Thank you for that bit of information wendilla - I appreciate it. Such a shame that some folk can only make fun of what is an amazing event. Sad isn't it?

Thanks for the reminder wendilla, that's the first landing I've watched in a long time. Wish they had shown more of the view from the shuttle cockpit including HUD.
Wendi, can the ISS been seen (on good weather conditions) in the Glasgow area or just your neck of the woods?
We're quite interested in looking at the skies.

My late brother was all agog in the 60's with the Apollo lift-offs etc. (I was too young to be agog)

Hi wendilla

Hope you're well, sweetheart

I went outside the other night to see if i could catch a glimpse of the 5.10pm sighting of space station/shuttle you kindly mentioned on your thread.
The really annoying thing was that just about 15 mins before the sky was clear and clouded up for around 45 mins, THEN cleared again about 5.45pm........did'nt see a jot! :0( .......What a bummer, eh?
