sorry this has come straight onto post bypassed options
What I really needed to know was of any recommendations thanks in advance Tez
We are going to use http://www.staysure.co.uk/ for my Mum later on this year (after loads of looking online). Got a good quote for an 84 year old, but you can't book up until 90 days before travel. Hopefully they should be OK.

get a free copy of Mature Times its a monthly paper which free and in most libraries, or Google them, they always have ads on holiday insurance for the over 65s.

Hi thanks for all the answers folks, there is a twist to this though my existing cover runs out the day we come back, and dont need any until Sept 09 but what if one of us falls ill or other misfortunes in 2008/9 cover, would the policy cease to cover us after the last day in May and leave us high and dry.
I think the answer is to get cover to run from existing policy last day ? but would a different company cover from last day if you were already in hospital abroad.
Thanks again Tez
