I'd think about the damage to your tooth enamel over the next twenty years, and settle for some gorgeous earrings.
Or . . . .

Go for one at the other end ??
Yes it's safe, well as safe as it was the first time.

My daughter has had her's pierced twice after she swallowed the bar from her first piercing and so far, she's been ok with it several months later.
it should go back in, I had mine pierced then took it out, I haven't had a bar in for a year but I put a bar back thru it last week went thru no probs.....try it

ye i tried pushing it back thru it will go in underneath no probs bt wont come out on top i can fell it but im to scared to push it thru its blocked r smthng i think id need to gt it pierced again....
Speak to your piercer, they will advise u further, i have had my tongue pierced for nearly 12 years, first time it swelled so much and killed afterwards, had to have it removed as i got an infection as my wisdom tooth came through and it spread to my tongue.
Second time i had to wait 3 months to heal properly b4 my piercer would do it again, and it was no different from the first time having it pierced, but it hardly swelled, i was eating nxt day and talking fine day after too.
Just pick a good piercer and they will give u the best advice they can offer, where do u live i might be able to recomend one, have some contacts in the piercing world xx lol xx
Not only that, but some of the keys are not working on your keyboard!!!
It is never safe to have your tongue piereced and anyone who could do it 'safely' would probably be too ethical to do so.

The tongue is a highly vascular muscular structure, when you have your tongue piereced you are risking, a major bleed, haemotoma formation which could compromise your airway or major sepsis.
