Hi WB! x

Your link gives the basic facts about how the legend sprang up, and I think it's a lovely thing to do! I'ved never eaten anything with lotus seeds in/on it, to my knowledge, so I've no idea what the mooncakes taste like. I just understand that they're filling - so maybe not all at once, eh? Lol.
Evening Whitebear and Icey , I haven't heard of moon cake or eaten it , not sure I would like it though looking at the recipe :-) xxxxxx

hey Icey! :)

they are very sweet to eat and some have an egg yolk inside which isnt very nice, so we tend to pick them out. we normally get them from friends etc so we dont normally buy it our selfs. but u can get plain ones without the yolk.

u cut them into quarters or in 8ths and you wud normally just have one or two which u share with your family/friends. so dont worry i wont eat it all,(i'll prob gives some to my neighbours or work colleage) yes they are kinda sickly thu, if u eat too much of it. They are not reccommend for diabetics thu as they are full of sugars!

my mum once told me the history about it and why we celebrate it but i never took it in. im sure if u were born in Hong Kong or China etc.. u would have learnt it etc.
i think i regret it now because.... i dont know anything about chinese traditions etc lol i feel ashamed :P
what am i gonna teach my kids? (if i decide to have any)they wont know anything lol not even speaking/ reading it :P

they are gros. Made of ground up locusts and magggots. I am personally just going to let off a few lanters.

You may as well take a steming turd and have a slice of that instead. Better for you

Hope this helps
