Does anyone else think that the cost of living today will play a major influence of young(ish) couples not having children... Will we see a gap in a certain age group in generations to come ???
I'v touched on this in another topic, but I believe that young girls appear to be rewarded now for having children!
I've lost count of the number of young mums I see everyday who are quire frankly better off than me, with their benefits, free milk and subsidised housing and I have to sodding work for a living.
As long as we have a government who quite happily cough up money for each Chav that drops a child then on, we won't have an age gap in generations to come.
No. For every responsible couple there is another that don't give a damn and just keep popping them out.
We have a case in Australia at the moment of a 26 year old woman who has just been arrested for neglecting her five chilren. She is pregnant with another. They were all living in wretched squalor in a house with another woman who had 13 kids.
Another couple last week were arrested for murder after they let their twin toddlers starve to death. They were laying dead a in their beds for a week before the smell got anyone's attention. I think they had four other kids.
The stupid people are breeding like rabbits, consuming our social resources and they will bring us down because they produce stupid children. After a few generations the stupid people dominate until they destroy us and society need to be rebuilt.
This has been a cycle driving the rise and fall of civilisations forever.
I think it will. My boyfriend and I have already more or less decided that we're not going to bother as it will be so expensive compared to what it is now, especially with the cost of living going up so much, and I know other friends of ours feel the same
